Dr. Aaron recommends that you read this article on superbugs and on how medicine must change in order to combat these superbugs.
Superbugs are bacteria that have adapted resistances to antibiotic medicines. Over the years it is stated by TIME magazines that “In the United States alone, at least 2 million people become infected with bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics, and at least 23,000 people die every year from those infections.” Preventable diseases killing people do to the simple fact that over using antibiotics has allowed for these bacteria to grow natural defences.
Time Magazine states that there are steps the medical industry must take in order to slow the bacterial adaptation to antibiotics, such as using fewer antibiotics, diagnose health problems faster, and provide more financial incentive for pharmaceutical companies to get involved.
